Perm National Research Polytechnic University

PNRPU is one of the leading research polytechnic universities of Russia. It was founded in 1953. It includes 11 faculties, 8 research institutes, joint laboratories with the Russian Academy of Sciences and key Industrial Partners. Training specialist is conducted at Aerospace Faculty, Applied Mathematics and Mechanics Faculty, Applied Mathematics and Mechanics Faculty, Chemical Engineering Faculty, Civil Engineering Faculty, Electrical Engineering Faculty, Humanitarian Faculty, Mechanical Engineering Faculty, Mining and Oil Faculty, Distance Education Faculty and Staff Advanced Training and Education Faculty. Electrical Engineering Faculty is one of largest in the University. 3500 students are currently studying at the faculty. Training of specialists in the following directions is conducted at the Electrical Engineering Faculty:

  • Infocommunication technologies and communication systems;
  • Management in technical systems;
  • Automation of technological processes and productions;
  • innovatics;
  • Informatics and computer facilities;
  • Program engineering.

More than 100 teachers, among which 15 professors, doctors of science and 60 associate professors, candidates of science provide educational process.

PNRPU collaborates with more than 30 foreign universities and research institutes of the world. It participated in a number of education and research projects of European programmes including TEMPUS, ERASMUS, FP7 projects. More than 30 000 “engineers”, “bachelors”, “masters” and 450 post-graduate students study at the PNRPU. The knowledge obtained by students during their studies provides high-quality preparation of specialists based on up-to-date popular technologies in the area of research, engineering and other branches.
